Robert Blair

Robert Blair serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Viasat, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the Company’s global legal strategy, which includes overseeing all legal matters across corporate governance, securities and compliance; antitrust and competition; employment; intellectual property; privacy; and litigation. Robert also serves as Viasat’s Corporate Secretary.

Robert joined Viasat in May 2008. He previously held a variety of roles within Viasat’s legal organization, including Assistant General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel until he assumed his current position in May 2017.

Prior to Viasat, Robert was an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he was involved in a number of complex matters across the United States.

Robert currently serves as a director of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, a position he has held since 2015.

Robert holds a JD degree from Stanford University and Bachelor of Art degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Policy Studies from Syracuse University.
